![]() Week one is now behind us and it was a great one! I am so excited to see that our class is beginning to come together with a very positive energy and team mindset. We will be working in collaborative groups, large and small, all year. Our three learning targets this past week were: 1. Understand the necessary components for effective teamwork 2. Understand our individual learning styles 3. Know each other's names and a little about each other. Team 4W participated in a series of team challenges designed to build awareness about the importance of communication and cooperation. Students had many opportunities to work with and get to know their classmates. We have a lot of energy in our room! As we continue on our learning journey this year, students will be guided to reflect on their learning progress. Each week, learning targets will be posted in each subject area. This will assist students in understanding our learning goals and will help guide them with their reflection. Ask your child to share these learning targets with you! Next week, I will continue to slowly introduce assignments, tools, and processes that will be a part of our 4th grade year. Kidblog, Reader's Response, Word Lockers, and Thinking Tracks will be our focus for next week.
