We had a fantastic week of Discovery Quest presentations! I was thrilled to see that students enjoyed their research and got creative with presentation elements. It was exciting when students who studied similar topics helped each other out with question answering. Young inventors/innovators shared their journeys through the design process and discussed redesign. I heard so many students share that they would like to continue learning about their topic. I was equally impressed with the listening and learning that took place during presentations. Audience members were expected to function as learners and record their new learning, ask thoughtful questions, and compliment the presenter on something he/she did well. Many students even included and assessment tool at the conclusion of their presentation to measure student learning. Thank you for supporting your child with this process. THIS is what it's all about folks! I am confident that I am sending a WONDERFUl group of thoughtful, curious, independent, creative and capable learners on to fifth grade next year. I'm just SO very proud of each and every one of them!
